"It would not be an exaggeration to say that next week’s 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will take place in the beautiful city of Baku and bring together all the nations across the world, as well as the most influential international organizations, represents your great historic victory in foreign policy," this is stated in the congratulatory letter of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

"I am confident that this prestigious event will make significant strides in the fight against climate change and the reduction of its impacts, endorsing solutions and strategies to address global challenges, and further strengthening initiatives for the transition of the world's nations to a green economy," the letter reads.
