COP29 and Azerbaijan's accession to D-8 indicate our growing influence - PM

One of the significant events in the life of our country in 2024, declared the year of "In Solidarity for a Green World," was hosting of COP29, one of the most large-scale and prestigious events globally, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov during the presentation of the Cabinet of Ministers' report for 2024 at the Milli Majlis, APA reports.

He noted that the participation of heads of states and governments from 80 countries in this international event and the adoption of exceptionally important decisions once again demonstrated Azerbaijan’s leadership capabilities and international influence to the whole world.

"The year 2024 also remained memorable in the history of our independence due to another notable diplomatic event. Azerbaijan was elected as a member of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation. Naturally, this reflects the growing influence of our country in the international arena," - PM added.
