“Taking into account that China's economic and political influence on the world scale is growing, I can say that Azerbaijan should have a dialogue with China on both platforms,” Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), told journalists, APA reports.
“Although we are not a government body, we define certain aspects of discussion for government bodies. For this reason, several scientific representatives from China were invited to our country today. Cooperation with China within the framework of international organizations is very important. This issue should also be discussed. Of course, we are talking about the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Central Asia 5 platform is also important for us,” Mr Shafiyev said.
