On June 16, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation led by President of the Turkic Investment Fund Baghdad Amreyev, APA reports.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on issues on the cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the Turkic Investment Fund, as well as the Fund's areas of activity and prospective projects.
The parties emphasized the importance of the Turkic Investment Fund, established at the initiative and with the active support of Azerbaijan, in deepening economic integration among Turkic states, promoting mutual investments, and contributing to the sustainable development of the region.
The role of projects promoted by Azerbaijan in strengthening regional connectivity, expanding transport and communication opportunities, and developing economic cooperation was noted. In this context, information was provided on measures being implemented to increase the potential of the Middle Corridor, develop the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and strengthen Azerbaijan's position as an important logistics and transport hub.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that the transport and logistics infrastructure being developed around the Alat International Sea Trade Port serves to increase the volume of regional trade and cargo transportation.
Information was also provided on the work being carried out in the field of alternative energy.
The parties noted that more effective realization of the economic potential of the Turkic world, promotion of mutually beneficial investment projects, and increased joint efforts in the fields of transport, energy and infrastructure would make a significant contribution to strengthening shared prosperity and ensuring the sustainable development of the region.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
