As we reported, the German ambassador to Azerbaijan was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a strong protest was made against the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, regarding his comments against the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to information obtained by APA from diplomatic sources, the talks with the other side were conducted in a very tough manner.
Although the German ambassador stated that the post was a technical error and has already been deleted, and that a verbal apology was made in this regard, Azerbaijan demanded a public apology from Germany, as noted in the Foreign Ministry's statement.
Interestingly, the German side has not yet apologized for the incident. If this is indeed a technical error and not a public provocation, why is Germany reluctant to apologize?!
