Conference on OTS as a regional actor in an era of global uncertainty gets underway in Baku-PHOTO

Today, a conference themed “The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) as a Regional Actor in an Era of Global Uncertainty” has commenced in Baku, APA reports.

Representatives from participating countries are discussing the role of the OTS in the current international relations system, the strategic challenges it faces, and new cooperation opportunities emerging for member states.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Center for Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), Farid Shafiyev, stated that think tanks within the OTS framework have so far organized 10 such meetings and conferences.

The speaker emphasizing that President Ilham Aliyev has identified cooperation with the OTS and strengthening the organization as a priority of Azerbaijan's foreign policy, noted that Azerbaijan was the first to allocate an additional 2 million US dollars to the OTS Secretariat's budget and initiated the organization of informal OTS Summits.

Note that the event will serve as a platform for intellectual exchange aimed at strengthening the organization's position on both regional and global levels.
