"Our relations, which have been further strengthened with the Shusha Declaration, are an example to the world," Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Fuat Oktay told journalists, APA reports.
He said that both Türkiye and Azerbaijan have witnessed each other's happy and sad days:
"As the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, we are participating in the event to be held in Baku with a delegation representing all political parties. We are two brothers who have always been together in both the happy and sad days of Azerbaijan. We have witnessed each other's happy or sad days in the bilateral relations that began in 1918. Today, there is a developing Azerbaijan. This country will develop further in the future. In 1918, the Caucasian Islamic Army led by Nuru Pasha was in Azerbaijan. The Alley of Martyrs is a spiritually lofty place where both our soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Azerbaijan at that time and our Azerbaijani brothers who were martyred during the Karabakh War rest. I wish mercy to all our martyrs and long life to our veterans. Our relations, which have been further strengthened with the Shusha Declaration between our countries, are an example to the world."
