Committee Chairman of Turkish Grand National Assembly: Opportunity obtained as result of the Garabagh war is chance for development of region

"Our cooperation in every field is not like that between two friendly countries, but between two brothers. We continue to write history in the 21st century as well," this was stated by Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, at the international parliamentary conference on "Parliamentarism: Traditions and Perspectives", APA reports.

He said that relations between two countries (Azerbaijan and Türkiye - ed.) contribute to both regional and global development:“We are witnessing instability in many parts of the world. The recent events in Syria and the developments taking place near us, such as the Russia-Ukraine war, necessitate the further strengthening of our relations. We hope that the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be concluded as soon as possible. This opportunity obtained as a result of the Garabagh war is a chance for the development of the region.”
