"The international parliamentary conference on the topic of "Parliamentarism: Traditions and Perspectives" held in the Milli Majlis proceeded very well, with many regional countries and all member states of the Turkic States Organization participating in the conference," Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye told journalists, APA reports.

He said that they saw the words of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, "The source of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis is the people": "You can see the same words of Atatürk in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye."

Fuat Oktay noted that parliamentary elections were held for the first time in all sovereign territories of Azerbaijan some time ago: “After 30 years of occupation by Armenia, Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity in all its territories. We are under one roof, where ballot boxes are set up everywhere, and the word of the nation is spoken and represented everywhere. This conference was very important in terms of traditions and perspectives. I want to say to those who are trying to teach us a lesson in democracy that we are in a position to teach this lesson. Because our history of parliamentarism is very ancient.”
