"In 2020, during the Second Garabagh War, the solidarity between our countries was an important factor that changed the balance of power in the region," this was stated by Fuat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, at the International Parliamentary Conference on "Parliamentarism: Traditions and Perspectives", APA reports.
Fuat Oktay said that the Shusha Declaration, signed after the 44-day Patriotic War, was the most concrete indicator of the will of the Turkish and Azerbaijani states to build a common future: "The Shusha Declaration is not only a bond of alliance, but also a clear perspective and a roadmap for the future of our relations."
The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly noted that the solidarity between two countries (Azerbaijan and Türkiye - ed.) during the Second Garabagh War in 2020 was an important factor that changed the balance of power in the region: “The Shusha Declaration, signed after the 44-day Patriotic War, was the most concrete indicator of the will of the Turkish and Azerbaijani states to build a common future. The Shusha Declaration is not only a bond of alliance, but also a clear perspective, a roadmap for the future of our relations. The will of brotherhood and solidarity that we have demonstrated both at the bilateral level and on all platforms, including the Organization of Turkic States, is the guarantee of our common future.”
