Commemorative book opened at Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions and consulates abroad

A commemorative book has been opened at Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions and consulates abroad in connection with the day of mourning, Aykhan Hajizada, the head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MFA), said in response to APA's inquiry.

Note that following the tragic crash of the Embraer 190 passenger aircraft, operating the Baku-Grozny flight on December 25, which resulted in numerous casualties, a national day of mourning has been declared in Azerbaijan for December 26 by the order of President Ilham Aliyev.

Recall that on December 25, the Embraer 190 aircraft, flight J2-8243 of Azerbaijan Airlines, was forced to make an emergency landing and diverted towards Aktau city. The plane crashed near Aktau city.
