The Georgian Interior Ministry has released information about a car accident that resulted in the death of 2 Azerbaijani teenagers in the village of Nakhiduri (Arikhli) of the Bolnisi region, where Azerbaijanis live in a compact population, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
The agency's information notes that the driver, born in 2003, who caused the accident has been arrested.
"As a result of operational-search measures and investigative actions carried out by the employees of the Kvemo Kartli Main Department of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the driver who caused the traffic accident on the road connecting Marneuli and Bolnisi, T.Ch., born in 2003, was arrested.

It should be noted that after the incident, there was a clash between local residents and the police. Local media reported that 9 people injured during the clash were hospitalized. According to residents, the driver and passengers of the car were drunk. It was reported that the tension increased after the driver insulted the residents.
It is noted that the ambulance that arrived at the area wanted to take the driver and passengers of the car to the hospital, not the teenagers injured in the car accident.
