"Official Beijing is ready for close cooperation to implement the agreements reached between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chinese leader Xi Jinping," announced Chinese ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei, at an event dedicated to the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Armed Forces, APA reports.
According to him, official Beijing attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan and is interested in further development of this mutually beneficial partnership:
"Over the 33 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan, both countries have gone through an extremely dynamic development path. In April of this year, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev paid a fruitful visit to our country. At that time, a declaration on strategic partnership was signed. This document is also important because it will strategically take our relations to a new stage."
