"If we look at the history of the EU, we will see that we have always played a positive role in building connections", said former President of the European Council Charles Michel, during the panel titled "Geopolitical Changes: Responsible Partnership versus Rivalry", within the framework of the 12th Global Baku Forum, in response to the question "Is it possible to admit new members to the EU?", APA reports.
According to him, EU should establish more connections and take more regional initiatives: "We must defend our interests in our policies. Some projects can be implemented with new partners. We should not show indifference to the rest of the world. We should strive to develop connections."
