Chairman of TRNC parliamentary committee cited Azerbaijan as example

As the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, we constantly emphasize that we are an inseparable part of the Turkic world, said Yasemin Ozturk, Chair of the Committee on Legal Affairs, Political Affairs and Foreign Relations of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, at the second meeting of the chairmen of the defense and security committees of the parliaments of TURKPA member states, APA reports.

Yasemin Öztürk stated that establishing sound dialogue between the parliaments of TURKPA member countries is one of the main goals: “The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus must have the place it deserves within the international framework. The role played by TURKPA in strengthening cooperation between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Turkic world is undeniable. In this regard, I would like to emphasize the importance of the inter-parliamentary friendship group established between our countries and Azerbaijan. Our wish is to strengthen inter-parliamentary relations with all countries of the Turkic world. I believe that the discussions we will hold here today will contribute to this.”
