Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chair of Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament, thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his support to Georgia, APA's correspondent in Tbilisi reports.
Samkharadze stated that the European bureaucracy has been using integration issues as a pressure tool to interfere in Georgia's internal affairs.
“I thank Ilham Aliyev for his support to Georgia and the Georgian people in this very difficult time,” Samkharadze noted.
He emphasized that the current European Union bureaucracy is treating Georgia unfairly and is attempting to use the EU integration process as a tool of pressure on Georgia and the Georgian people. He also pointed out that the polarization in Georgia is a result of the approach of the country's foreign partners.
“This is very unfortunate, but it remains a fact, and it is not new to anyone. More and more people around the world are realizing that what is happening in Georgia today, including this artificial polarization, is mainly the result of our foreign partners' actions. We hope that these approaches will be reconsidered. EU membership will remain the most political task for Georgia, and we hope that the European Union will show a fair approach towards Georgia,” Nikoloz Samkharadze added.
