"The West's supporting Armenia in social and economic fields and decreasing dependence on Russia is a good case. I am not pessimist regarding the support from strategic point of view," former British Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan James Sharp, who attended the international international forum themed “COP29 and Green Vision for Azerbaijan” held at ADA University on April 23, told journalists, APA reports.
"However, I also understand the concern of the Azerbaijani side. Azerbaijan may think that Armenia will not agree with Azerbaijan on constructive talks because of the approach. For this reason, the US and Europe should be attentive regarding support to Armenia that the support will be directed not to military field, provision of any weapons, but to strengthening democracy and decreasing dependence on Russia," added the Diplomat.
