British Ambassador: We are proud of our cooperation with Azerbaijan

We are proud of the British-Azerbaijani cooperation, said the British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Fergus Auld, on his social media account while reporting on the meeting between Stephen Doughty, the UK Minister of State for Europe, North America, and Overseas Territories, and President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

"A wonderful meeting between Minister Stephen Doughty and His Excellency President Ilham Aliyev. We are proud of the broad British-Azerbaijani partnership, including trade and investment, security, climate change, energy and education. The development of peace and mutual relations will shape this region," the ambassador noted.

The ambassador also reported on the meeting of the Minister of State with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov.

"During the bilateral meeting, Stephen Doughty conveyed his congratulations to Jeyhun Bayramov on the historic peace meeting between Azerbaijan and Armenia and reiterated Britain's readiness to support peacebuilding and the development of mutual relations," the ambassador's post noted.
