The Baku Initiative Group (BIG) provides comprehensive support to political prisoners in France's Overseas Territories, said Abbas Abbasov, the Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), at a press conference held one day before the international conference titled "Colonialism: Erasure of National-Religious Identity," organized by the Baku Initiative Group, APA reports.
Abbas Abbasov noted that political arrests are not only present in New Caledonia but also in other Overseas Territories: "In these territories, the violation of human rights and freedoms, including illegal arrests, must be prevented."
