Active resistance will lead to the disappearance of colonialism in the future, said Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov during the international thematic conference titled “Towards the Decolonization of Guadeloupe! Challenges and Perspectives” organized in Baku, APA reports.
He stated that one of the consequences of colonialism is the policy of assimilation.
Abbas Abbasov spoke about the Guadeloupean people's fight against assimilation: “In the future, colonialism will disappear. The only elements that must remain stable are language, religion, and moral values. In the coming years, the global community will have the opportunity to become familiar with Guadeloupe’s language and religion.”
The Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group also expressed confidence that overseas territories will eventually achieve independence.
