“The main direction of bilateral cooperation is the transport sector. We agreed to expand ties within transport corridors connecting Europe and Asia as part of the restoration of the Great Silk Road. In particular, we reviewed opportunities to strengthen the transport infrastructure of Central Asia and the Caspian basin,” said Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow in a joint press statement following the high-level meeting between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, APA reports.

“We also agreed to strengthen humanitarian relations within the framework of multilateral dialogue. In particular, there is high potential in education, science, sports, healthcare, arts, carpet weaving, and other areas. We already have good cooperation experience in these fields. Overall, this meeting opens up new opportunities for strengthening trilateral relations, and in this context, we must work hard to achieve the goals we have set,” Berdimuhamedow noted.
