On March 2, 2026, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a phone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, APA reports.
During the call, the sides discussed the current military and political situation in the Middle East and the rising tensions in the region.
The parties noted that further deterioration of the regional security environment is unacceptable and stressed the importance of resolving existing disagreements through dialogue and diplomatic means in accordance with the norms and principles of international law.
The ministers underscored that ensuring the safety of civilians and preventing the worsening of the humanitarian situation are of priority importance. They also emphasized the need to strengthen international efforts aimed at restoring stability and security in the region.
The phone conversation also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
