CIS Secretary-General thanked Azerbaijan for its active participation in the work of CIS, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev expressed gratitude to the leadership of Azerbaijan, relevant structures, ministries, and institutions for their active involvement in the work of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
"Azerbaijan, in the person of the first Deputy Minister Yagub Eyyubov, participates actively in the union's activities; whether in the economic or humanitarian field. At the beginning of May, an important forum (The 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue under the theme “Dialogue for Peace and Global Security: Cooperation and Interconnectivity,”) will be held in Baku. A delegation of the CIS Executive Committee will attend the forum. Council of Heads of State News Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS Information Council) will also be held in Baku. I am very grateful to the Azerbaijani leadership and the relevant structures, ministries, and institutions for their active participation in the work of the Union," S. Lebedev noted.
