"The meeting of the Belarus-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held in Baku this year," said Dmitry Pinevich, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan, during a meeting with the press, APA reports.
He also announced that the Agro-city planned to be established in Aghdam, based on the Roadmap of joint measures between the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus for the development of agricultural production, is expected to become operational in 2027: "The work on organizing the Agro-city is ongoing. In principle, it is planned to start operations in 2027. I am extremely pleased with the work being carried out in the liberated territories."
As a representative of a country familiar with the occupation factor, the diplomat emphasized his awareness of the consequences of occupation: "Our country is very well acquainted with the occupation factor. When I visited Karabakh, I was astonished by the scale of destruction I witnessed, especially the ruined villages. While passing through the Fuzuli district, I observed the ongoing demining activities. I was also pleased with the pace of reconstruction in Aghdam, particularly the construction of the hospital."
