A representative appointed by the French government in New Caledonia is maintaining colonial interests and their implementation, Abbas Abbasov, the Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), said at a press conference dedicated to the presentation of the report on 'Human Rights Violations in France's Overseas Territories', APA reports.
'The Baku Initiative Group will continue to support New Caledonia in its fight against colonialism. At the same time, the Baku Initiative Group calls attention to events occurring in New Caledonia on various international platforms, and this cooperation will continue,' he stated."
