Baku Initiative Group: We will continue to support peoples living in colonial territories

"The information contained in the VIGINUM report that the activities of the Baku Initiative Group are directed against the territorial integrity of France is unfounded," executive director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov said at a press conference, APA reports.

He said that the Baku Initiative Group will continue to support the freedom struggle of the peoples living in colonial territories: "Our activities are directly in support of the freedom struggle of the colonial peoples. Each of the claims made by the French side regarding our organization is unfounded. Our cooperation with activists in colonial territories is directly against the policy of neocolonialism. French troops have been expelled from Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Chad, Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire."

Elgun Hajiyev, the organization's press secretary, said that it is completely illegal for France to make public the information of those who expressed their views on our posts in the aforementioned report: "We had the facts about the violence committed by the French authorities against the people of New Caledonia, and we made them public. The allegations were that our reports were inaccessible to the French side. But everyone has witnessed that each of our posts is accessible to the entire audience. France also made public the information of the people who commented on our posts in the said report, which is an interference with freedom of expression. It is unacceptable to call these people "trolls."
