In the last 4 years, Azerbaijan chaired the Non-Aligned Movement and our chairmanship here was based on the main principle of the Movement, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov said during a press briefing, APA reports.
"During its chairmanship, our country followed these principles," he added.
Abbas Abbasov said that Azerbaijan supports the just fight of the recent colonies of France: "Recently, it has been widely circulated in the press that our flags are being flown at rallies in New Caledonia. This shows their sympathy and love to our leader.
We are witnessing a just fight for independence in New Caledonia. They are demanding their rights fairly. Mr. President and the Baku Initiative Group have support in this direction."
