Baku Initiative Group to sign memorandum with Saint Martin

"The Baku Initiative Group will sign the fourth memorandum with Saint Martin to support the population in the colonial territories," said the executive director of the Baku Initiative Group, Abbas Abbasov, in a statement to journalists, APA reports.

He added that the organization he leads is the first international platform where Saint Martin is represented:

“As you know, our international conference today is dedicated to the island of Saint Martin, located in the Caribbean. Saint Martin was divided into two parts in 1648. Today, scientists, parliamentarians from that island state and officials from non-governmental organizations, various island states are discussing the struggle that Saint Martin can wage for a united people and a united territory. This conference, supported by the Baku Initiative Group, is their first international platform. The Baku Initiative Group will sign its fourth memorandum of support for countries suffering from colonialism this year. This memorandum will be signed with the United Saint Martin Association from Saint Martin. The memorandum will primarily address issues of cooperation in the political, economic and influence areas in Saint Martin.”
