Baku Initiative Group launches petition

The Baku Initiative Group has launched an international campaign on behalf of civil society organizations following the "Decolonization: Awakening of the Renaissance" conference held in Istanbul, APA reports.

The petition appeals to French President E. Macron demands returning more than 90,000 artifacts and cultural works that France has stolen from Africa to their original countries.

The Baku Initiative Group demands that the French government amend its legislation, return the stolen artifacts to their countries of origin, and pay compensation to the countries that are the legal owners of the historical artifacts as well as the illegal owners.
