A two-day forum on “The Resonance of Development and Security: Regional Cooperation and Governance in the Institutional Transformation of the CICA” is being held, jointly organized by the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR) and the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), APA reports.
At the plenary session, to be moderated by Zhao Long, Deputy Director of the Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies and Senior Researcher at the Shanghai Institute for International Studies, Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Board of AIR Center; Kayrat Saribay, Secretary-General of the CICA; Yan Wenbin, representative of the Department of European and Central Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institute for International Studies will deliver speecehes.
On the first day of the Brain Centers Forum, sessions will be held on the topics of “Promoting Security through Development – Exploring New Approaches to Asian Security Governance”; “Cooperation on Supply Chains in the Era of Green and Digital Transformation”; and “Strengthening Eurasian Connectivity: Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Middle Corridor, International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), and Other Projects.”
On the second day of the forum, a session on “The CICA as an International Organization: Transformation and Capacity Building” and a thematic panel on “The Formation of the New Asian Order” are planned.
