“We do not want to see provocations in the airspace of Türkiye and Azerbaijan again,” Devlet Bahçeli, chairman of Türkiye’s Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), said during his party’s parliamentary group meeting, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
Bahçeli issued a warning to Iran on the matter and stated that he firmly rejects any provocative behavior targeting Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
“Every country must act wisely. Türkiye is not a country where anyone can gamble. It is the Islamic Republic of Iran that must clarify whether this was a provocation, a provocation attempt, or a planned move. We want to believe that this was not a deliberate step and to preserve our good neighborly relations. However, we also state in a cautious and measured tone that Türkiye is not a country where anyone can fire a missile at any time and treat it as something ordinary. We do not want to see provocations in the airspace of Türkiye and Azerbaijan again,” he said.
