On January 8, Ramil Usubov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, APA reports.
The meeting was attended by Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Alizadeh, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Seyyed Jafar Aghaei Maryan, Chargé d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, views were exchanged regarding measures taken to ensure national security, and the issues of the fight against terrorism, illegal drug trafficking, illegal migration, and other forms of transnational organized crime were discussed.
The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited the grave of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Martyrs' Lane.
