Elchin Amirbayov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for Special Assignments, has paid a working visit to the Vatican, APA reports.
According to a post on the “X” account of Azerbaijan’s Embassy to the Holy See, during the visit, Elchin Amirbayov held meetings with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See (Prime Minister), and Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations (Minister of Foreign Affairs).
The discussions focused on interstate relations and their successful development in political and humanitarian fields, as well as prospects for peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus, regional security issues, and other matters of mutual interest.
