Inter-parliamentary relations were discussed at a meeting held between the Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and the Speaker of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom Parliament, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, within the framework of the 11th Summit of the Speakers of Parliaments of the Group of Twenty (G20) countries (P20), the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told APA.
The importance of the summit was emphasized at the meeting, and views were exchanged on the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and parliaments.
Within the framework of the event, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis also met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, Seah Kian Peng, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Australian Parliament, Milton Dick.
