The city of Lachin in Azerbaijan will receive the status of the CIS Cultural Capital in 2025, Aide to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov said during a briefing, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
He stated that during the humanitarian discussions at the Moscow summit of CIS leaders, draft decisions will be reviewed to grant the status of CIS Cultural Capital to Lachin in 2025, Mehri in Armenia in 2026, and Molodechno in Belarus in 2027.
Note that the city of Samarkand in Uzbekistan has been selected as the CIS Cultural Capital for 2024.
