Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister meets OIC Labour Centre Director to discuss cooperation

On October 17, 2025, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Azer Bayramov, Director General of the Labour Centre of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the MFA told APA.

During the meeting, the work and future plans of the newly established Labour Centre, one of OIC’s specialized organizations, were discussed.

The parties also exchanged views on the current cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the OIC, preparations for next year’s OIC Summit to be held in Azerbaijan, and other high-level events.

Minister Bayramov emphasized Azerbaijan’s satisfaction with the close cooperation with the Organization, noting that the Labour Centre, established within the framework of the 5th Conference of Labour Ministers of OIC Member States in Baku, will further strengthen relations within the Organization.

It was expressed that the planned work will contribute to expanding cooperation among member states in the fields of labour, employment, social protection, and human capital development.

Other mutually interesting issues were also discussed during the meeting.
