Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, met with a delegation led by Brigadier General Mohammed Mahmud Al-Omari, Deputy Chief of Operations and Training of the Public Security Directorate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
During the meeting held at the Ministry, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov, greeting the guests, emphasized that expanding cooperation in the management of emergencies and civil defense within the framework of mutual respect between our countries is beneficial for both sides. In this regard, recalling his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in April this year, Minister K. Heydarov noted the importance of the “Agreement on Cooperation in Disaster and Crisis Management between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” signed during the visit, for the development of relations between the relevant bodies of the two countries.
Later, the guests became acquainted on-site with the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Crisis Management Center, the Main Department for the Development of Digital Technologies and Innovations, and the Public Relations Department.
Note that within the framework of the visit, the Jordanian delegation will also visit a number of other agencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and get acquainted with their activities on-site.
