Azerbaijan's Deputy FM visits Geneva

Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan

On February 23-26, 2025, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elnur Mammadov embarked on a working visit to Geneva to participate in the high-level segment of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

Within the framework of the visit, Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov delivered a speech at the high-level segment of the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council and also held a series of high-level bilateral meetings.

During his speech, the Deputy Minister addressed the regional situation in the post-conflict period, the work done within the framework of the Great Return, the current status of the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, existing challenges, as well as the claims in Armenia's Constitution directed against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and responded to the claims raised by the Armenian Foreign Minister during his speech.

During the meetings, an exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
