Azerbaijan's Deputy FM leads COP29 delegation at UNFCCC SB62

Under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and COP29 Lead Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev, the COP29 Presidency’s negotiations delegation participated in the 62nd session of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB62) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the events held within this framework, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA.

According to the information, within the framework of SB62, Deputy Minister Yalchin Rafiyev held bilateral meetings with the delegations of Türkiye, Australia, Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, the Kyrgyz Republic, Egypt, and China. He also gave interviews to a number of leading international media outlets.

Within the framework of the session, the Azerbaijani delegation organized events aimed at promoting the historic outcomes of COP29, as well as ensuring the continuity of the successful activities carried out under the COP29 framework.
