Azerbaijan's Ambassador discusses regional issues with Georgian Foreign Minister

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maka Bochorishvili received Azerbaijani Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Faig Guliyev, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports citing Georgian Foreign Ministry.

It was noted within the framework of the meeting, current issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed and the details of the planned official visit of Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili to Azerbaijan were touched upon. It was noted that the parties also discussed the holding of the next - 10th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Georgia on Economic Cooperation in Baku in the coming days.

“The parties once again positively assessed the wide spectrum of strategic partnership between the countries. Special attention was paid to successful cooperation in the trade and economic, transport and energy sectors. The importance of peaceful and stable development of the region was noted at the meeting. The parties expressed their readiness to further dynamize the existing exemplary strategic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan,” the ministry said in a statement.
