On March 18, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan during his working visit to Saudi Arabia, APA reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It was noted that during the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current security situation in the region and recent developments.
The ministers emphasized the importance of maintaining regional stability, preventing escalation, and respecting the norms and principles of international law, including the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
The parties noted that the Azerbaijan–Türkiye alliance plays a significant role in ensuring peace and security in the region, and highlighted the importance of joint and coordinated action in addressing existing challenges.
The ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
