Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan, according to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, APA reports.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 11th Summit of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation in Cairo.
During the meeting, the Turkish Foreign Minister congratulated Azerbaijan on becoming a member of the D-8.
The Ministers discussed issues stemming from the brotherly and strategic alliance between the two countries, the current situation in Syria, potential areas of cooperation between the countries, and plans for humanitarian assistance in Syria.
