On August 7, 2021, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA.
The Ministers exchanged views on the existing situation regarding the forest fires in Turkey, operations to extinguish fires.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed gratitude in connection with the sending of a new group of firefighters and technical assistance by Azerbaijan on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Mevlut Cavusoglu giving information about the development of the extinguishing process said that fires have been prevented in Antalya and works are carried out in the direction of the restoration of the damaged infrastructure. At the same time, the operations are still being continued on the prevention of fire in a number of other places.
In its turn, Jeyhun Bayramov said that the Azerbaijani side always stands by brotherly Turkey and is ready to provide all support that is needed.
