On August 22, a delegation led by Yuri Nikolayevich Zhdanov, Executive Secretary of Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states, arrived in our country on a working visit to participate in the international conference to be held in Lachin district themed “National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the author of the independent Constitution of Azerbaijan,” the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.
A bilateral meeting was held between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Yuri Zhdanov within the framework of the visit.
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev welcomed the guests and expressed his high appreciation for the activities of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). He emphasized the importance of organizing the second visit to our country within a short period of time and noted that this is an indicator of the high level of inter-institutional relations.
Expressing his gratitude for the reception, Yuri Zhdanov conveyed the greetings of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov, and noted that they attach great importance to strengthening legal cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan, and he highly appreciated the active participation and valuable contributions of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor’s Office to the activities of the organization.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues related to the organization of jubilee events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states and preparations for the 35th session of the Council to be held in Tajikistan in October of this year were discussed.
