Azerbaijani Prime Minister met with Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan

On July 2, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

The meeting touched upon the importance of the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) held in the city of Khankendi.

It was noted that since Azerbaijan joined ECO in 1992, it has actively participated in various initiatives aimed at developing cooperation in the region.

It was emphasized that the economic, energy, and transport projects authored and participated in by Azerbaijan are beneficial for all ECO member countries.

The meeting also discussed opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan in economic, trade, transit, and humanitarian fields.

Additionally, issues of mutual interest within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan trilateral cooperation format were reviewed.
