Elchin Amirbayov, Representative of the President of Azerbaijan on Special Assignments, has paid a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, APA reports.
As part of his working visit to Federal Republic of Germany, Elchin Amirbayov held meetings with Gunther KRICHBAUM, Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Foreign Policy Advisor to the President Wolfgang Dold, Deputy Advisor to the Federal Chancellor on Foreign and Security Policy Alexander Eberl, Chairman of the Bundestag Foreign Affairs Committee Armin Laschet, Head of the Bundestag’s Germany–South Caucasus Parliamentary Friendship Group Mirze Edis and other members of the group, as well as Director for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia at the German Foreign Office Niklas Wagner.
During the meetings, views were exchanged on the current state and development prospects of Azerbaijan–EU relations, the formation of regional transport connectivity, and the possible role of the European Union in this matter. It was emphasized that the past year had been marked by notable progress in EU–Azerbaijan relations and that it is important to maintain and further develop this trend in the coming months.
