As part of the working visit of the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the Senate of the country, Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani, the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) told APA.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the successful development of relations between the two countries based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood.
It was noted that mutual visits of the country leaders have played an important role in bringing our relations to a high level. Emphasizing the special role of parliaments in the development of these relations, the speakers highly appreciated the cooperation of our legislative bodies both on a bilateral basis and on various platforms.
During the conversation, the holding of the Third Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye was evaluated as a contribution to the further expansion of relations, and an exchange of views was held on other issues of mutual interest.
