Trade indicators between Azerbaijan and Croatia are at a high level, said the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, during a joint press conference with Gordan Jandroković, Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports.
“The energy sector holds an important place in our economic relations. As you know, today Azerbaijan exports gas to 10 European countries, including 8 European Union countries, among which Croatia is one.
Regular discussions are held to further expand cooperation in various fields. In this regard, the activity of the ‘Joint Commission To Promote Economic Cooperation’ holds particular importance.
I would also like to emphasize the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Croatia in the field of mine clearance, which is significant for the demining of our territories liberated from occupation.
One of the main issues we focused on during today’s meeting was, of course, the relations between our parliaments. Friendship groups operate in both parliaments. Our delegations mutually participate in events organized by our parliaments, as well as in the work of several international parliamentary organizations," said Sahiba Gafarova.
The Speaker of the Milli Majlis stressed that closer cooperation among parliament members will play an important role in bringing the peoples of both countries closer together and in the development of bilateral relations.
