MP Parvana Valiyeva has participated in the 17th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP17), APA reports.
The conference, held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, brought together high-level officials from 196 countries that are parties to the Convention, representatives of international organizations, experts in the relevant field, parliamentarians, and representatives of academic circles.
A High-Level Parliamentary Forum was organized within the framework of COP17.
The forum was jointly organized by the Global Change Leaders Academy for Parliamentarians (G-CAP), the G20 Global Land Initiative (G20 GLI), the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC), and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.
