The Minister of Emergency Situations, General-Polkovnik Kamaladdin Heydarov has met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, Gasim Mohiuddin, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) told APA.
Greeting the ambassador, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov reminded that the existing friendship and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Pakistan has deep historical roots. In this context, the minister expressed confidence that the meeting would contribute significantly to the development of cooperation between the relevant institutions of both countries in the fight against emergencies.
The minister, providing the guest with detailed information about the areas of activity of the Ministry of Emergency Situations spoke about the importance of the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Prevention, Mitigation, and Elimination of the Consequences of Emergencies between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan," signed in Islamabad on January 13, 2021, and touched upon the prospects of cooperation between the relevant institutions, including the cooperation between the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the relevant educational institutions of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Thanking for the meeting, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan, Gasim Mohiuddin, emphasized that within the framework of the deep-rooted Azerbaijan-Pakistan brotherhood relations, there are good opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the emergency management institutions of the two countries.
The meeting included an extensive exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
